Description benhelppi 2025-07-11 20:28:11 UTC
Description:
I closed a document I was editing. When I re-opened the same document, suddenly all the menus only have a few entries, and require scrolling. This is extremely annoying and difficult to work with. I saw no similar bug entries, but did find another user who had the same difficulty.

Ref https://www.reddit.com/r/libreoffice/comments/1k6pp2n/menus_dont_show_all_entries_scrollbars_everywhere/

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a doc/sheet
2. Observe that all the menus require scrolling
3. Be annoyed

Actual Results:
The menus were all small, display perhaps 7 lines instead of the larger amount they did prior to opening the document.

Expected Results:
I expected the menus to behave the same way that they did prior to closing and then re-opening the document. Having the UI change how it works, especially to a notably inferior and less usable format is exasperating.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Resetting the user profile did resolve the issue. Based on doing that step, I assume that Libreoffice corrupted the user profile.
