Description [REDACTED] 2025-07-19 15:10:51 UTC
Description:
Dear LibreOffice community,
Version 25.2.5 for Windows Aarch64 cannot be installed on my computer. I receive the error message: "This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package." The older version 24.8.7 is already installed. I'm not sure if older Versions of LibreOffice 25 are effected.
Windows 11 Home for ARM-based processors is installed on my computer.
I downloaded the MSI file for a 64-bit Windows version as a test, and it started without problems. However, I would like to run LibreOffice without emulation.
Best regards

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download the msi-Package from https://de.libreoffice.org/download/download/?type=win-aarch64&version=25.2.5&lang=de
2. Start the Installation by double clicking on the msi-file
3.

Actual Results:
Error message appears

Expected Results:
Installation process should have started

Reproducible: Always

I can confirm as of now that the error persists when trying to launch the installer in a Windows 11 Pro ARM (latest update as of now) VM in Parallels Desktop on an M1 Mac.
