Description Callegar 2025-07-21 06:02:28 UTC
Description:
When you make a drawing with LibO draw, it is common to have the need to export it in PDF. So you go to "File → Export as → Export as PDF" and you get a first dialog where you can set the export options. So far so good. At this point, you get a second dialog, where you can choose where to save the exported file. Until not long ago, this dialog was pre-filled with a filename obtained from the original filename of the drawing. For instance, if you had "drawing.odg" you would have the filename prefilled to "drawing.pdf", which was an very logical choice, because in a large majority of cases this is the filename you want. Now, probably as a tail event of bug 166022, the filename is not prefilled anymore and you need to type it in every time you export to PDF which appears as a worsened ergonomics.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a drawing
2. Save the file with some filename.odg
2. File → Export as → Export as PDF

Actual Results:
The export dialog has an empty filename. You need to fill that in manually every time.

Expected Results:
The export dialog is pre-set to the name of the file, with a pdf extension, e.g. filename.pdf in this case. You can change it as needed.

Reproducible: Always
