Description: Two seconds of hourglass, then nothing. I had to revert to v24. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start LibreOffice 2. 3. Actual Results: Hourglass then nothing. Expected Results: Start LibreOffice Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: 25.2.4.3 x86_64
Version: 25.2.4.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 33e196637044ead23f5c3226cde09b47731f7e27 CPU threads: 24; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (10.0 build 26100); UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
25.2.5 is out, you may give it a try. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan/25.2#25.2.5_release anyhow, more likely a problem on your profile; you may try in safe mode : https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/shared/01/profile_safe_mode.html or with another account on your computer.
Thanks. I forgot to mention that Safe Mode exhibits the same behavior.
So how did you get the Help -> About detail of comment 1 if it does not run. Or, is it launching with skia/Vulkan rendering then falling back to the skia/Raster, which is normal for undersupported GPUs. What CPU and GPU/APU? Results of dxdiag.exe, attach the full text or a clip the Display panel

The Help About dialog is from after I uninstalled v25 and reinstalled v24. I was surprised that Help About still showed v25. I don't know about skia and graphics drivers. It's been many years since I last used Bugzilla.

OK, we had to check if you were on AARM64 (bug 166947) or using an AMD APU for graphics. Since you are on an Intel iGPU could you check if you have Vulkan support in the Intel drivers. Should be able to to run vulkaninfo.exe from a command line. Then somewhere in that output will be a stanza: "VkPhysicalDeviceProperties" listing api, driver, vendor, etc. Clip that and post. Otherwise, how did you "upgrade" from 24.8 to 25.2? Was it MAR automatic, or did you download the MSI installer and use that (either double click or command line)? And, when you "reinstalled v24" how did you do that? Getting a 25.2.4.3 signature in the Help -> About dialog suggests something has gone *very wrong* with your LibreOffice installation(s). We expect it should work with this hw configuration. You may want/need to clear user profile AND do a complete uninstallation of LibreOffice and then a check of the Windows registry. Get it all cleared off. Then download the .msi installer for the 25.2.5.2 release [1] build, or the pending rc2 prerelease for 25.8.0.2 [2], check its HASH sum and install as an Administrator. The HASH values are linked to the download page with an 'Info' button for each. Use the Windows powershell 'Get-FileHash' or something else, e.g. 7-zip to calculate the HASH of the downloaded installer and compare to the posted value--they should match and verify a valid installer. If not, then repeat the download until you get a valid result. =-ref-= [1] https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/ [2] https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/?type=win-x86_64&version=25.8.0&lang=en-US

As we know, MSWindows can be fragile. For now, LibreOffice is running. If I attempt to change anything, it might cause problems. My computer skills are rusty. Pragmatically I will wait until something else breaks. I appreciate your timely investigations.
Your system should have no issues clean install and running the 25.2.5.2 release build. But, you may get stung if remaining on the 24.8.7.2 build. We've implemented new Mozilla Archive (.MAR) based incremental updates. You could be rolled onto 25.2.5 or even 25.8 (not till the ~.3 incremental). See https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=164757#c12 on how to block the MAR updates. A bit to fiddle with, until a proper environment var is implemented. For now resolving this => WFM, but please reopen if you do a clean install of 25.2.5.2 and it will not run.
