Description:
Mac: LibreOffice 25.2.5.2 on macOS Sonoma 14.7.6 launches Mail.app, but no new message with attachment is created via "Send > Document as E-mail"
In recent versions of LibreOffice for macOS (confirmed in 25.2.5.2 and the version before that), the function File > Send > Document as E-mail is broken.

When this function is used:

Mail.app is launched (if not already running),
but no new e-mail window appears, and
the document is not attached.
There is no error message.
LibreOffice is not listed under System Settings > Privacy > Automation (which is where apps that control Mail usually appear).
I have verified:

Mail.app is set as the default mail client.
Mail.app is configured and works (e.g., mailto: links work in Safari and Finder).
The issue persists even after full app and system restart.
LibreOffice version:
Version: 25.2.5.2 (x86_64)
Build ID: fef39f5ed88b5565b07a6b06f0cb1b8c9d584116
UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: osx
macOS version:
macOS Sonoma 14.7.6 (23H626) – Intel Mac

Expected behavior:
Selecting File > Send > Document as E-mail should open a new e-mail message in Mail.app with the current document attached.

Actual behavior:
Mail.app is launched, but no new message is created and no document is attached.

Steps to reproduce:

Open any document in LibreOffice Writer
Go to File > Send > Document as E-mail
Mail.app launches (if closed), but no new message appears

Steps to Reproduce:
Open any document in LibreOffice Writer
Go to File > Send > Document as E-mail
Mail.app launches (if closed), but no new message appears

Actual Results:
Mail.app is launched, but no new message is created and no document is attached.

Expected Results:
Selecting File > Send > Document as E-mail should open a new e-mail message in Mail.app with the current document attached.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
I have reset the user profile following the instructions at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile. The issue still persists with the fresh profile.

LibreOffice version: 25.2.5.2
macOS version: 14.7.6 (23H626)
Mail.app launches, but no email with the document is created.

Tested with a clean user profile.

With
• Mail.app is set as the default mail client
• Mail.app is configured and works
• LibreOffice is not listed under System Settings > Privacy > Automation

I can confirm the issue partially.

I can confirm the issue for

Version: 25.8.0.2 (AARCH64)
Build ID: 80a8bc2ef75d415a197e282da0ebf917315d5e24
CPU threads: 10; OS: macOS 15.6; UI render: Skia/Metal; VCL: osx
Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: de-DE
Calc: threaded

however _with_ (localized, here: german) error message of this kind popping up:

"Keine E-Mail-Konfiguration
LibreOffice konnte keine funktionierende E-Mail-Konfiguration finden.
Dieses Dokument stattdessen lokal speichern und es im E-Mail-Programm als Anhang hinzufügen."

Whereas, I can NOT confirm the issue for:

Version: 26.2.0.0.alpha0+ (AARCH64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: e24f16560d0549acfa9db29cce42355b8ccc23e0
CPU threads: 10; OS: macOS 15.6; UI render: Skia/Metal; VCL: osx
Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: de-DE
Calc: threaded

So, there, it works for me (WFM) as intended (both when Mail.app is open and when it is closed and is only then started).
Selecting File > Send > Document as E-mail _does_ open a new e-mail message in Mail.app with the current document attached. No error message.
