Description Dragan 2025-09-02 06:27:49 UTC
Description:
In LibreOffice 25.2.5.2, when a table flows onto the next page, the page style inheritance works correctly: the new page keeps the same style as the previous one. However, if the user manually changes the orientation of the new page to Landscape, the page updates correctly, but upon reverting it back to Portrait, the layout (header/footer and table width) remains consistent. This behavior differs slightly from expectations and may confuse users.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a document in LibreOffice Writer 25.2.5.2.
2. Define "First Page" style as portrait.
3. Switch to "Default Page Style" set as landscape with header and footer.
4. Insert a table that continues onto the next page.
5. Observe that the next page inherits the correct style (landscape).
6. Manually change the orientation of the new page to Landscape.
7. Revert the page back to Portrait.
8. Observe that the layout (header/footer and table width) remains consistent.

Actual Results:
After reverting the page back to Portrait, the page layout remains as if it were Landscape.

Expected Results:
After reverting the page back to Portrait, the page layout should fully match the Portrait style, including table width and header/footer dimensions.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
- Observed in LibreOffice 25.2.5.2 (system DEB) on Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon 64-bit.
- The previous bug where automatic style inheritance failed when a table flowed to the next page no longer occurs.
- Minimal test document can be provided if needed.
