Are you installing as administrator?
Comment 2 dbcook 2025-10-04 09:52:18 UTC
No. Attempting to instal exactly as previously. Windows has not asked for any administrator rights.

It's now showing 'internal errors' 2503 and 2502

Windows installation errors 2502 and 2503 indicate the MSI installer lacks write permissions to the temporary folders where files are stored during software installation or uninstallation. To fix this, you should typically run the installer as an administrator, ensure your user account has full control over the C:\Windows\Temp folder, or temporarily disable your antivirus software.

Thank you. Changed permissions of Windows Temp folder to Users, and it installed correctly. There are lots of comments on the internet about these 2 errors arising when trying to instal, and curiously lots of people state it only happens with Libre Office. That is certainly my experience. You have to wonder if Microsoft have have introduced some way of deterring users installing software that competes with Microsoft Office?
