Description Viktor 2025-10-09 14:08:37 UTC
Description:
expected: The dialog for „Save as“ [Speichern unter] of the opended file (ODT, ODS etc.) should always opened in the file-origin directory = C:\TEMP

Notice: After saving the ODT into the correct folder C:\TEMP with a new filename and start the save as command again, LO is still using the wrong folder from PDF before C:\TEMP\export_to_PDF

Closing Writer and open the new file again from C:\TEMP the save as command shows again correctly to C:\TEMP till you export again a PDF….

Steps to Reproduce:
    • open ODT in C:\TEMP
    • command „saves as“
    • ✓ suggested target folder is correct with: C:\TEMP
    • export a PDF to another folder = C:\TEMP\export_to_PDF
    • ✘ after that the command „saves as“ – for the still opended ODT-File! – points to the „wrong“ folder which was previously used for the PDF-Export C:\TEMP\export_to_PDF

Actual Results:
Current status: After creating a PDF to a subfolder C:\TEMP\export_to_PDF
the “Save As” command of the WRITE ODT document jumps to the directory previously selected for the PDF-Export.
This no longer corresponds to the original directory of the LO ODT-file.

Expected Results:
expected: The dialog for „Save as“ [Speichern unter] of the opended file (ODT, ODS etc.) should always opened in the file-origin directory = C:\TEMP

Reproducible: Always

Imagine this scenario: you have 100 pages and want to export them in the current folder. Very easy, you export the first page, the second, everything in the current folder.

But, lets supose you want to do the same thing but in a different folder: for example on desktop. LibreOffice is remembering the last location that is different than the current location, so there will be send all the files.

This is the desired behaviour. Otherway, you can not export repeteadly somewhere external to your current desktop.
