Description:
Whenever I open an existing file, ods, odt, etc. I am met with a pop-up message that states "Please wait for printer connection or cancel connection." This pop-up must be canceled before the file will open.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select a file from within file explorer or within LibreOffice using any open file method
2.Click to open
3.

Actual Results:
"Please wait for printer connection or cancel connection" pop-up box that must be canceled before the file will open.

Expected Results:
I expect the file to open without the pop-up box


Reproducible: Always

That is likely because the printer settings saved with the documents refer to a network printer that doesn't exist anymore or is not accessible. Please go to Tools > Options > Load/Save > General. In section 'Load' uncheck the options and then try loading again.

Thank you Regina. I followed your instructions, then closed and restarted LibreOffice. The pop-up continues to appear.

The pop-up does not generate in safe mode.
Restarting normally after safe mode regenerates the pop-up.

You can try to use a new LO profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps#Corrupted_user_profile).

I deleted my user profile with no affect to the bug before submitting. 😵‍💫

Ok so it must be inside the file.

Do you think you can attach the file by using this link https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?bugid=168779&action=enter or is there something confidential/private in it ?

The goal is to unzip the file, find the printer reference, remove it and rezip the file.

It isn't one file, it is all files.
