Description rileyophus 2025-10-10 03:51:23 UTC
Description:
after changing the "Math" font in a formula object, vector arrows (i.e. in the result displayed after typing 'vec v') are displayed a full character-height above the character they are supposed to be composed with

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a formula object (Ctrl+Alt+E)
2. type 'vec v'
3. while editing formula object, go to "Properties" -> "Fonts" -> "Modify" -> "Math"
4. select any font but OpenSymbol

Actual Results:
vector arrows are displayed a full character-height above the character they are supposed to be composed with, along with the dotted circle sometimes used to display combining characters that are not yet part of a composed character

Expected Results:
should have displayed vector arrows the same as with the OpenSymbol font

Reproducible: Always

Cf. Bug 164711 ("Errors with positioning of vector arrow when using a math font different from OpenSymbol").

Are you sure the selected font has the same symbols as OpenSymbol, it is default for that.
