Description: LibreOffice got update to 25.8.2.2 version. After this update Writer does not recognise the Parisienne-Regular.ttf font any longer. This font was already installed and worked nice with previous Writer versions. All of a sudden (after update) the font remains installed in the system, but does not show up in the writer font menu. Steps to Reproduce: 1.install font Parisienne-Regular.ttf (it is free) 2.Open the app Writer, blank file. 3.Look for the font in the font menu (in the tool bar) Actual Results: As I had files (created from scratch in Writer) using the referred font already, now, when I open them, the font name shows up in the font menu, but there is a message warning the font is not available, please select other. But, the font is installed in the system, which a cannot remove or reinstall. Expected Results: The software should recognise the font, as it always did before the last update. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: I did not reset my user profile, but I have created a new user account in the same notebook, a brand new profile, but the issue shows the same characteristics. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/25.8/pt-br
Just for the record, on pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I don't reproduce this. I tried gen, gtk3 and kf5 renderings and used font from https://www.1001freefonts.com/fr/parisienne.font

Hey guys, Marcelo here. Just FYI, I'll shorty report all the mess that unfortunately happened with me and how I solved (still solving actually). I've wrote a whole book using LibreOffice running under the Endless OS. I've started at 2020, and now I'm finishing last details for the 1st print. My writing project uses several fonts and many graphical elements from own LibreOffice forms to AI and handmade illustrations. Among all the fonts, 4 of them are largely used in most of the text, but not in separate sections, which would be easily replaced in any case. No, they are mixed at the paragraphs and sentences level. Two fonts, if I'm not wrong were part of the LibreOffice package (Cardo and Nada), and the other two I have installed them (Parisienne and Typewriter Rustic RNH). From 2020 til 2025, I believe, both Endless OS and LibreOffice had done many updates/upgrades automatically, because I just let the automatic updates always turned on, and I never had text issues in any sense. The update which caused issues came at some point between sep 15th and oct 05th of this year 2025, because that is the time gap between the last time the project was fine and the 1st time it got messed up. (yes, work kept me away from the most important project of my life for two weeks, sometimes it does more than that) Here is the list of impacts the document suffered: - the 4 mentioned fonts were no longer available in Writer (even though the OS says they were installed) - most of the pics which had no visible borders, were lined with the below/bottom border, now totally visible. - all the LibreOffice graphic forms, which I had anchored in the page (so I could insert new blank pages in the middle, pushing them forward accordingly and not messing the relations between text and graphical elements), those anchors somehow got lost and I've got many graphical elements overlaying others or the wrong pages. - all those issues together caused the document to jump automatically from 414 pages to 490 (somehow blank pages show up in the end of the document as well) My solution: As I am a bit desperate to finish this project this year, because this is a gift to my father (mom already gone), and his birthday is December 12th, I choose to change the OS. I was a bit tired of Endless already because I could not uninstall and reinstall things as I wish, so I just formatted my drive and installed Ubuntu Studio, which came with some version of LibreOffice already. I also noticed the fonts Cardo and Nada were not available any longer in LibreOffice, so I've downloaded all of them (the ones I use in the project) and installed them. They worked nicely and when I open the same file in this new setup the impact was much less, fortunately (only 440 pages). The only thing I need to fix now are the graphical elements. Sorry for writing that much, but as I'm myself an IT user supporter and troubleshooter, I believe a whole user experience description may be useful in someway for you in order to solve further cases, it may increase your general feeling about the tool. I have now ways to fix my impacts, I consider this topic closed. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your attention and for taking your time trying to find an issue, I really appreciate that. LibreOffice is a great package of tools and I'll keep using it!
