Created attachment 204265 [details] Sample file with a bottom margin of 1 cm How do you set the bottom margin? Works for me. Version: 25.8.3.2 (X86_64) Build ID: 8ca8d55c161d602844f5428fa4b58097424e324e CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 26200); UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: es-ES (es_ES); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
My method: 1. Click anywhere in the table. 2. Select "Properties" from the "Tables" toolbar (at the bottom of the screen) 3. In the Table tab, set the value in Below to 0.4. Press OK. (screenshot-1) The space between the table and the following text increases. (sccreenshot-2) 4. Save the file. 5. Re-open the file. The gap between the table and the subsequent text has disappeared.

Your sample shows you have increased the margin in the cells. My bug is about the spacing between the bottom of the table and subsequent text.
Hey NarayanAras, I'm not able to reproduce this in Version: 25.8.3.2 (AARCH64) Build ID: 8ca8d55c161d602844f5428fa4b58097424e324e CPU threads: 11; OS: macOS 15.6.1; UI render: Skia/Metal; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded My values for the bottom spacing in table properties are saved after re-opening the file. In case anyone else wants to try reproducing, ensure that you are changing the spacing in Table Properties, not the entire page margin.
Repro per comment 3 and comment 4 on Win and Linux. Already in oldest of linux-43all repo. Saving to ODT works. Saving from that ODT to DOCX causes the spacing to be lost. Justin: seeing your work in bug 117297 and notes in bug 168042 and elsewhere, maybe you have an idea about this.
NOTABUG AFAICS. Show me in MS Word how you can add spacing below a table, and then I might acknowledge that this is a bug. I just looked at Word 2024's table properties, and didn't see anything that indicates that above or below spacing can be added to the table. Hmm - OK, if you set the table to being a floating monstrosity (i.e. text wrapping:around), then you can have Positioning margins. (Good floating table support is new in LO.) So I guess it would be possible to emulate this - although nothing is worth creating the disaster that a floating table is.
Thanks.
