Are you only using os/DE color sense (Dark or Light) or have you "enabled" appearance themes? Seems like this got some rework for 26.2 of a master nightly, maybe test with a current dev build.
I used one of the downloadable themes. (e.g. Office 2003 Blue). I don't usually like to install nightly-versions, but I can try it out when that update comes around.

No real fuss: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel and grab a recent nightly build of 26.2 from: https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html You'll want the rpm or deb flavor, avoid the debug builds for this kind of testing. Also you should change the user profile for this dev build to isolate it from your working profile, follow the note in the Wiki for that.
