Description: I tried to put 2 documents side by side on my external monitor from my laptop running latest Win10 ... Libre Office is up to date, and it will happily put one document to the left half of the screen and one to the right, but unless it is split in this way using the built in Windows function, it doesn't work ... when I use instead the ASUS display widget to more quickly align it the way I want, the menus appear blank (no entries) ... so I don't know if this is just an issue with Libre Office, but I didn't notice any other software having this issue ... I just tested it with a few other applications, and they can all display their menus just fine when I split them left and right on the external monitor using the ASUS display widget ... so there is something about the way the Libre Office menus appear in Win10 which is put off by that display widget, but which doesn't cause an issue for the menus in any other software that I run ... sometimes the menus wont even display if I split them using the built in Windows function ... this hadn't happened before I tested it with other software, but after the test it now has this problem, in fact even going to full screen they were failing ... so something seriously wrong there. Minimise the window and maximise again didn't fix it. Bringing it down to the inbuilt laptop screen didn't fix it. Closing 2 of the 3 document windows made the remaining window start showing menu items, and the laptop fans slowed down ... perhaps some kind of memory leak or other issue causing a bottleneck or some kind of processing block ... I will try to repeat the issue after closing all windows and see what happens. I closed all documents, reopened the same three. At first, all drop down menus (file edit etc) are filled with menu items, but after I used windows short cut keys to transfer 2 of 3 document windows to the second monitor and then align one left and one right, once the 2nd document was aligned right on the external monitor, all Libre Office document windows INCLUDING the 3rd which was still in full screen on the built in laptop, stopped showing menu items, just a blank drop down box with nothing in it ... I didn't even use the ASUS Display widget this time. So I will close all again, shut down the display widget so that it isn't even running in the background, and see if the problem still occurs. Once again on shutting down 2 of 3 document windows, the menus in the last remaining document open start working again, but opening just one additional document window again before shutting down the last, disables the menu items appearing again in both document windows. OK, so even after shutting down the ASUS display widget AND the display widget service, the menu items are still not showing the moment a second document is aligned left or right on an external monitor ... so there is definitely something wrong here and which is only wrong with Libre Office, no other software has this issue on any of my laptops, regardless of whether they are running Win10 or even the old one running Win7, this is purely a Libre Office issue it seems. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open any Libre Office document 2.Open a second Libre Office document 3.Shift 2nd document to external monitor and use any method to align it to left or right half-split-screen even if no 3rd document open and original document remains on built in monitor Actual Results: drop down menus in Libre Office appear as blank drop down boxes without any menu entries to select Expected Results: I expect a functional menu of course Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-GB Module: TextDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Windows (All) OS is 64bit: no External monitor is an asus rog XG27UQ Doesn't matter if ASUS Display Widget is running Laptop has onboard graphics plus RTX 3070 Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2 Installed on 8/11/2024 OS build 19045.6216 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19062.1000.0
