Description Eyal Rozenberg 2025-12-05 18:38:15 UTC
I'm working on some text in an Impress slide, and press Ctrl+K. Instead of the newly-opened URL dialog gaining keyboard focus - somehow, the Impress window still has it, and if I type - I'm typing under the dialog and instead of the link I wanted to enter. This is bad :-(

Version: 26.2.0.0.alpha1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 0686b1972806fe8b711de5ba64039fb38cd14889
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.12; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-IL (en_IL); UI: en-US

So, marking this as Impress, but I'm not sure it's specific to Impress.
Comment 2 Regina Henschel 2025-12-05 22:46:32 UTC
I cannot confirm it. After pressing Ctrl+K, the cursor is in the URL field and I can edit there immediately using the keyboard.

Tested with Version: 25.2.5.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 03d19516eb2e1dd5d4ccd751a0d6f35f35e08022
CPU threads: 32; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (10.0 build 26100); UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

and with
Version: 25.8.3.1 (X86_64)
Build ID: 52ad9dd1c984050a9fb6932dbfb16e86a49e9758
CPU threads: 32; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 26100); UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

(In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #2)

Seeing this also with:

Version: 25.8.1.1 (X86_64)
Build ID: 54047653041915e595ad4e45cccea684809c77b5
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.12; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-IL (en_IL); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

and:

Version: 25.2.5.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 03d19516eb2e1dd5d4ccd751a0d6f35f35e08022
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.12; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-IL (en_IL); UI: en-US

but this makes me a bit suspicious, since I don't remember this occuring before, so it could maybe be something with my desktop environment (Cinnamon) on Devuan excalibur.
