Recent versions of PowerPoint allow to insert a webcam feed object in slides. It would be awesome to support reading, saving, and using that functionality directly with Impress.

Assume if implemented this would be only for a local os/DE supported web camera (like scanner support) and not for showing some external/cloud hosted video stream.

Don't see the use case but hard to reject the feature parity argument.
