Description Timur 2025-12-11 10:47:42 UTC
Report is that attached XLSX has wrong grouping when saved and reopened in MSO.
LO does not group by month, rather offers days.
There is opening issue with labels that is similar to bug 122470.

Here is the history of affecting commits.
While this sample was never correct, it seems worse now compared to before the initial commit. For that I put regression tag but with normal priority.

There was a bug that some XLSX with pivot tables failed to open in Calc (like sample from bug 122470), since commit c379168711858664baabe7fa482a4c7dd3bc7891 in 24.8:
author Tomaž Vajngerl <tomaz.vajngerl@collabora.co.uk>	Thu Apr 11 16:31:32 2024
pivot: PivotTableFormatOutput to resolve and set PT cell format

Opening in calc was mainly fixed in 26.2. with https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/193845
commit 5aaedc8c6accb93475c0e83b1fac4cc9bb76c43d
Author: Tomaž Vajngerl <tomaz.vajngerl@collabora.co.uk>
AuthorDate: Wed Nov 12 18:59:58 2025

Additionally opening in MSO after saving was fixed in 26.2 with https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/193998:
commit 81d59ec3770b841b9c44f33c91e0d9360e1773e2
sc: fix crash in pivot table with formats and no source data
Author: Tomaž Vajngerl <tomaz.vajngerl@collabora.co.uk>
Commit: Miklos Vajna <vmiklos@collabora.com>

XLSX compared

Left shown fileopen in LO 24.8 before 1st commit and RT in MSO.
Right shown how original looks in MSO and RT file in MSO with 26.2+.
(labels are separate issue, rows seeming grouped is this issue).

Hi Timur,
Grouping seems to be fine after saving with

Version: 26.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64)
Build ID: 2d68362dac381247081f8a750f3b6d83d9b69ac2
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.1; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: es-ES (es_ES.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Could you please try again with a more recent master build ?

XLSX compared in MSO

Here is XLSX better seen as original in MSO and LO 26.8+ RT in MSO.
Does not look the same, although not as I focused before.
