Created attachment 204582 [details] image shows document in white background and sidebar in dark background When choosing document background as "white" in the appearance settings, the sidebar background should follow the appearance choice and display styles with white background. The image attached shows when the document background is white and the sidebar is not and styles are previewd. It turns visualization quite hard. This would kind of defeat the purpose of Dark mode appearance theming. Setting the document canvas white by default (for a WYSIWYG "feel") the UI controls are under appearance theme coloring. I don't find it inconsistent, and folks seeking reduced glare in their UI by selecting Dark appearance theming would likely object to the SB Styles deck following the document canvas. Just too much glare. And if we were to move on this, then I would insist the Tools -> Options -> Appearance 'Use white document background' selection should also control the SB Styles deck rendering.
(In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #1) (snip) > And if we were to move on this, then I would insist the Tools -> Options -> > Appearance 'Use white document background' selection should also control the > SB Styles deck rendering. An additional checkbox "Use white background in sidebar style preview mode" will be just fine (imho).
