Description Sylmarch 2025-12-21 10:42:04 UTC
Description:
Since upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11, I can no longer open file with Calc.

When I do it, Calc is no longer responding.

Note that I'm running Windows with a user that has no admin rights.

I think Calc is requesting something that need additional permissions when opening file as I manage to open file when running Calc with a Windows admin account.

I try to:

- Uninstall and reinstall LibreOffice to last version (25.8.4.2)
- Remove my user preferences removing folder %APPDATA%\LibreOffice after stopping LibreOffice

Steps to Reproduce:
With a Windows user account with no admin rights on Windows 11:

1. Open Calc
2. Enter something in the document and save it
3. Stop Calc
4. Re-open Calc
5. Try to open the file you have saved: Calc no longer responds

Re-do the same steps with a Windows admin account: Calc manages to open the file.

Note: the same issue happens when trying to open file double-clicking on it.

Note2: I try the same steps with LibreOffice Writer and it works with both accounts.

Actual Results:
LibreOffice Calc no longer responds.

Expected Results:
File should be opened.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Sounds more like issue with reconfiguring a network or attached resource for the Calc instance.

Perhaps set your default system printer for you user account to a built-in resource like 'Microsoft Print to PDF' and retest to see if that isolates the issue.
