Same hanging behavior in 26.2.beta1 The status on the bottom left says 'Repagination...'
@shahrv: can you please provide a minimum example so that we can try and reproduce on our own systems ? For example: - which kind of document and which format (native LO, or exported format of some kind) ? - is the problem contingent on the use or absence of a password ? - is the problem reproducible with a 2-page document that is password protected ? - are there any other particular features of your document that might give rise to an issue, e.g. sections, tables, images, frames, headers, footers, etc ?
- which kind of document and which format (native LO, or exported format of some kind) ? My doc is .odt native - is the problem contingent on the use or absence of a password ? My doc has a password - is the problem reproducible with a 2-page document that is password protected ? Hard to reproduc now because i went back to 25.8.3.2 after upgrading to the beta - are there any other particular features of your document that might give rise to an issue, e.g. sections, tables, images, frames, headers, footers, etc ? My document is long, ~180 pages A5, has TOC plus illustration index, sections, images with titles, headers (odd-even), footers, footnotes
(In reply to shahrv from comment #3) Thanks for the further information, but we won't be able to try and reproduce the problem without a test document, both with, and without a password. From personal experience, LO on macOS is not the most stable of applications, and will crash or, more frequently, hang seemingly randomly without necessarily being able to easily determine why (from the user's point of view). This is why we need as much as detail as possible. Given that you have gone back to an earlier version which doesn't exhibit the undesirable behaviour, it will be difficult for anyone to confirm this bug report.
