I use latest SlackBuilds.org (SBo) Libre Office for Slackware-current and sometimes other (Devuan-/Debian-based) GNU/Linux, sometimes *BSD, usually with XFCE for X Window System. Recent months in XFCE (which might be the problem) Libre Office's shortcut to paste unformatted text no longer works as used to (does nothing); I can only do that by going to the menu. As someone mentioned in another BUG, it should only be an OPTION to paste formatted text, not forced! That should be configurable, and most likely opt-in! I don't know ANYONE who EVER wants to paste formatted text. On another note, it was very hard to find this bug report area. I looked through libreoffice.org front page top menus and a few of those, and several/many submenus looked like they could have it. I gave up and searched Google, and found your ask site with a question--I'm not the only person who had this problem--which the answer links here. On another note, I didn't remember email address I used and entered my newer one--which hadn't been used here yet--and was incorrectly told I'm getting password reset email (when no account with it existed). I was able to login with my older email address and change it.
DAvid, thank you for reporting the bug. Does it also happen in SafeMode (Help -> Restart in SafeMode)? Please also copy and paste information from Help -> About LibreOffice Thank you => NEEDINFO
Doesn't happen in safe mode, though I haven't made any changes/additions that should affect (only thing I did was set more reasonable margins for Writer, but noticed the paste error in Calc).
