table of data and column header, Data > AutoFilter selected

PRECONDITION:
Calc spreadsheet with a table of data and column header,
Data > AutoFilter selected,
combo box arrows visible in the first row,
see e.g. attached trainstat-filt.ods

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
set cursor _outside_ of the table
Data > AutoFilter is not marked in menu (OK)
click Data > AutoFilter
popup window: "AutoFilter not possible" (NOK)
AutoFilter switched off (OK or not??)

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
shall the AutoFilter be switched off if the cursor is not in the table?
(although the Data > AutoFilter is NOT marked in the menu)

Either "AutoFilter not possible" and nothing is changed
-or-
no such popup and switch off the only found AutoFilter in the file.

Defining Menu>Data>Define ranges, it's possible to have several autofilters in one sheet.

Find it in the attached sample.

Define a range, apply autofilter.
Select another range apply autofilter, yes the first one dissapear.
Apply again autofilter to definid range, not it is preserved and to range of data with autofilter.
