I have already written of this error, but it wasn't handled as a bug.

In Finnish program doesn't accept SUM at all.

I removed the Finnish installation and installed English(UK) version to verify it and it worked OK.

Menu>Tools>Options>LibreOffice Calc>Formula>Formula Options>Use English function names.
