Description: On the recent documents section, thumbnails for documents protected with a password are rendered with artifacts: 1. These artifacts take a particular form and, just by closing LibreOffice and opening it again, they take another form. 2. If you have, on the list, a document not protected by a password, you can find traces of the thumbnail for this document on the thumbnails for other documents. 3. Though in LO 26.2.0.2, these artifacts may cover part of the thumbnail, in LO 26.2.0.1 (where I first noticed the issue), these artifacts covered the whole thumbnail. I can't provide a proper screenshot for LO 26.2.0.1, as thumbnails now look the same as in LO 26.2.0.2. Steps to Reproduce: Just open LibreOffice and look at the recent documents section. Actual Results: Thumbnails for protected documents have artifacts. Expected Results: Thumbnails for protected documents should just have a solid colour. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 26.2.0.2 (X86_64) Build ID: 620(Build:2) CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 26200); UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: es-ES (es_ES); UI: es-ES Calc: CL threaded

One correction: thumbnails for protected documents have always consisted on an icon on a transparent background.
I can confirm this issue in the alpha version. On my environment, thumbnails for password-protected documents in the Recent Documents section show visual artifacts or remnants of document content instead of a plain generic icon. This issue reproduces in LibreOffice 26.8.0.0 alpha, while it does not reproduce in the stable version 25.8.4.2. My environment: Windows 11 Pro (64-bit), 23H2 UI rendering: Skia/Raster (Skia Backend: GaneshGL) Locale: de-AT / de-DE
Bisected the issue with thumbnails of password-protected documents in Start Center → Recent Documents. This regression appears to have begun at the following commit.
