Description grofaty 2026-01-27 11:34:24 UTC
Description:
When opening CSV file Text Import dialog displays all data in single field instead of respecting import setting in dialog.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start LibreOffice Calc and empty document is opened.
2. Click Open icon from toolbar. Open dialog is displayed.
3. Select myfile.csv and Open button. Text Import dialog is displayed.
4. Set Separation Options: Separated by and check "Comma" and leave default String delimiter to double quotes.

Actual Results:
After above steps problem appears. Still in Text Import dialog at bottom preview only single column is displayed. See attachment first image from the left side.

Expected Results:
Three columns are displayed.

But, when I open the file, content is displayed in three columns just like expected (see middle image from attached picture). Closing down the file and Open from toolbar and now Text Import dialog correctly displays preview of file (see right side of image).

Reproducible: Always
