Created attachment 205198 [details] Screenshot of the Gallery sidebar under Linux When opening the Gallery sidebar in dark mode, the images with transparent background have a light white-grey checkered background. 1. Open Writer with dark theme 2. Open the Gallery sidebar and any of the default galleries (except Backgrounds and Bullets - they seem to be fine) -> The transparent images have light background in the sidebar 3. Double click on one of the images to see a larger preview of it in the sidebar -> The preview does have a correct, dark background Version: 26.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) Build ID: 8fb5be18f8febe88f7d0b72e4b30efd41891feb7 CPU threads: 32; OS: Linux 6.14; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: hu-HU (hu_HU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded and it looks the same under Windows as well.

@Gabor, what is expected on this? Should the checkered pattern be a dark checkered pattern?
