Description 9h5kdxb61 2026-01-29 18:27:06 UTC
Description:
I have been using LibreOffice for more than two years and until the installation of this version:

Version: 25.8.4.2 (X86_64)
Build ID: 290daaa01b999472f0c7a3890eb6a550fd74c6df
CPU threads: 22; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 26100); UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US
Calc: CL threaded

I have never had any problems at startup. Now at startup I get the following message:

LibreOffice requires a 64-bit Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task. Please install a JRE and restart LibreOffice. https://hub.libreoffice.org/InstallJava/?LOlocale=en-US

This happens with every component, it is not specific to Calc or Writer. I choose the default installation when installing the program. I have installed the separate help files, they never caused this notification.

I have checked Environmental Variables and Java is not on my machine (by choice).

What module would cause this behavior and how can I remove or disable it?

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start calc or writer
2.
3.

Actual Results:
LibreOffice requires a 64-bit Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task. Please install a JRE and restart LibreOffice. https://hub.libreoffice.org/InstallJava/?LOlocale=en-US

Expected Results:
No pop-up

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Check which extensions are installed in LibreOffice. My guess would be, that some extension was installed (or activated), that requires Java.
