Description Ivan Stetsenko 2026-01-30 16:59:07 UTC
Description:
In tabbed UI, the background color of inactive tabs is determined by the Base color setting, which also determines the background color of dropdown menus, text fields and others, completely unrelated to the tab background. In a regular tabbed interface (like in browsers), the inactive tab background is darker than the active tab one, and it is currently unachievable in LibreOffice without breaking the UI in many cases.

Actual Results:
Changing Base color changes both background color of the text fields and background color of inactive tabs in the Tabbed UI

Expected Results:
The inactive tab background should be a separate color option in the settings -> Appearance menu

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Tested on Windows 11, LO 25.2.7.2
