Description ibuiltasonic+bugsdocumentfoundation 2026-02-06 22:44:39 UTC
Description:
LibreOffice Calc for Linux/x86 overwrites user ownership of shared files when saving. If the file is on an SMB share, it overwrites group ownership as well. This does not happen with 26.2.0.3 for MacOS/ARM.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a file owned by another user and owned by a group you're part of, with group read and write permissions.
2. Edit the file and save it.
3. Ownership is now overwritten with yourname:group (for local files) or yourname:yourname (for files on SMB share)

Actual Results:
File ownership is modified

Expected Results:
File ownership is not modified

Reproducible: Always
