GNOME 3 won't have support for systray icons for apps. So, I think it is best that we remove the "Enable systray Quickstarter" option in the Memory preferences.
I have Gnome 2.28 and it _supports_ systray icons. Let's not mess with it?
For other reasons this has been defaulted off, so less visible now. Still need to detect the GNOME3 desktop case and hide the option there and enforce it off.
Gnome 3 does have support for tray icons, in 3.2 at least. The quicktray icon does come up (on the bottom).

fine, we don't enable it by default anymore and its deprecated, so its only really for old configs that get migrated forward
