Whenever I leave it open in the background for a longer period of time it crashes as soon as I get back to writer or shortly after I've entered some characters and returns. I've compiled Libreoffice from source, not sure of exact git version, but the last commit in libo dir is 9a9d699ed189f31ebb7f638ec7cdeecd4b3c3cb8 from Mon Jan 10 21:01:36 2011 +0000. Other repos are from about the same time. Running on Kubuntu 10.10, KDE is 4.5.5.

Which branch did you build? libreoffice-3-3 or master? git branch should tell you the branch you are currently on (in case you are not familiar with the git command).

To add, I have also been frustrated with this issue and it causes me constant worry that I may lose data (despite the recovery tool). The same problem also occurs in Open Office on both the Ubuntu (1:3.2.1-7ubuntu1.1 (openoffice.org)) and Open Office packages (which were the latest at the time).

merike, in the future do it like that, instead of using attachments (of type application/octet-stream, even). Attachments make it harder for developers to quickly see if this bug might be related to something they know. You want to make it as easy as possible for a developer to see what is going on in your bug if you want to improve its chance of getting fixed.
Happens to me every once in a while, usually after returning from hibernation. If any further information is needed, I can try to reproduce this segmentation fault...
