Hi, I installed LibreOffice 3.3.0 Final (OOO330m19 (Build:6) - tag libreoffice-3.3.0. ) on Windows Vista Basic Home Edition SP2 (32bits) From Writer, Calc, Draw, it's impossible to print more 1 copy of document. In Print Dialog box, I select the number of copies , e.g. 2, but only 1 copy is edited. :-( For printing many copies of document, must use as many times the print dialog box, it's no good! My printer is Brother DCp-330C, I use the Vista Default Driver, This was working fine with OpenOffice 3.2. (without special parameter to do). Best regards, Thierry
It is still a problem in release LO 3.3.1 on windows 7 HP of XP HE Best regards,
Also with 3.2rc1 and forrmer to 3.1 with win 7 64 seems to depend on the printer here on a HP 4000 but no problems nn a big konica minolta 360on the sometimes depending on the sort mark
LO may handle this the same way as many Linux applications. (Someone correct me?) in that it is left to the printer to print multiple copies rather than send multiple print jobs to the printer. If the printer understands and supports multiple copies you will get multiple copies, otherwise only 1 copy.
I'm running LibreOffice (version directly from LibreOffice) 3.4.4 on Ubuntu 11.10. I tried printing 75 copies of a single sheet with significant graphics (large file size) on a black and white Kinoca-Minolta PagePro 1400w laser printer. I had no idea that LibreOffice would be sending 75 individual print jobs to the printer instead of 1 print job with 75 copies. It crashed the printer, and also the driver after several copies. Then there was the horrendous mess of getting all of the unprinted jobs deleted. I was able to use my inkjet (HP OfficeJet 8000) to finish the printing after the laser crashed. Once again individual print jobs were sent for each copy. Once everything was printed, I had about 10 minutes of icons coming on the screen saying printing started and printing completed when the printing was all done. The icons were playing catchup with all of the print jobs. I've tried to research this. The only way I've found that you can print a large number of copies is to export the page to pdf, and then print the pdf. Programs other than LibreOffice (GEdit, Document Viewer) send 1 job to the printer with multiple copies. This problem did not exist in OpenOffice a year ago with whatever was the current version of openoffice on Ubuntu 10.10 back then when I printed the same job on the same laser printer.
