Created attachment 43310 [details] please see original report I see that with "LibreOffice 3.3.1 RC1 - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [OOO330m19 (build 7 / tag 3.3.1.1)]". When I try to paste data into an empty cell with border, I will get the message "You are pasting data into cells that contain already data. Do you really want to overwrite existing data?" That's wrong, cell does not contain data. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open new spreadsheet 2. Type "x" into 'A1' and "y" into 'A3' 3. Select (highlight) 'D5:F10' using mouse pointer 4. Menu 'Format > Cells > Borders - 1pt - Set Outer Border and All Inner Lines' <ok> Borders will be drawn 5. click 'A1' 6. <cntl>+<c> for copy 6.1 For Test: Click 'A3', <cntl>+<v> fpr paste, Message should appear. If not, you have deactivated the message and can not do the further testing. 7. click 'B3' 8. <cntl>+<v> for paste as expected "x" will be pasted 9. click 'E7' 10. <cntl>+<v> for paste expected: "x" will be pasted actual: Warning message although cell without contents The argument might be that <cntl>+<v> will destroy formatting of the cell, what also might be some kind of contents, but in my sample.ods you will find 'D15:F20' with diagonal "borders". When you redo step 10 into 'E18', formatting will be overwritten without any warning. Cell background also does not cause a warning. This might be new in a.m. Version, I believe I would have noticed such behavior in earlier versions.
Have reproduces this problem using libre office 3.3.1 on a windows XP sp3 system. Als tested to following situation to be sure of a clean destination row: - Copy a existing row - Create new empty row - paste existing row in new empty row. Give same message.
