Libreoffice 3.3 on both Ubuntu 10.10 and Windows XP . I have received several docx files containing tables which do not display correctly in Libreoffice. The outline of the table cells is visible on the page, but the lines themselves do not appear in print preview or when printed. The border style is displayed as 'none', even though there is a border in the original word2007 document. The same thing happens in openoffice.org 3.2.1, but the lines display correctly in openoffice 3.3.
Hi, could you attach one of those files, optimally with a screenshot indicating where you'd expect the lines or, even better, a PDF showing the correct rendering? Thanks, Peter
Created attachment 46275 [details] docx file with table lines visible original docx file
Created attachment 46276 [details] word2007 pdf word 2007 generated pdf showing lines and correct page format
Created attachment 46277 [details] libreoffice version libreoffice version shows no lines in the table and incorrectly formats the page
(In reply to comment #1) > Hi, > > could you attach one of those files, optimally with a screenshot indicating > where you'd expect the lines or, even better, a PDF showing the correct > rendering? > > Thanks, > Peter I've added attachments as requested. The libreoffice pdf was generated in opensuse 11.2, but I've done the same on XP with the same results. Also you will see that the page formatting is incorrect, with the Part 1 and part 2 headings on the wrong page. John

[This is an automated message.] This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. LibreOffice 3.5.0 beta2 THANK YOU VERY MUCH! It's fixed! How long I've been waiting for this. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I've checked the original docx file (attachment 1 above) in 3.5 beta2, and the table lines show clearly. Curiously, when the original word docx file is opened in 3.5, an extra line is inserted at the top of pages 2 and 3, which results in the table on page 3 extending into page 4. John
LibreOffice 3.5.0 beta3 :-( Regression! It come back. It was fine with LibreOffice 3.5.0 beta2.
Oleksandr Kalyniak, please do not toggle the version. For more on this please see: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport_Details#Version
LibreOffice 3.5.2.2 (Build-ID: 350m1 Build:202) on Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit (installed over ppa). I have the same problem that table borders of a Word-2007-docx-document are not displayed correctly after opened with LO-writer. Though there is a border in the original word2007 document, the border style in LO-writer is displayed as 'none'.
I've checked the original file on Libreoffice 3.5.2.2, and the table lines are no longer visible, and in table properties the line arrangement is set to 'set no borders'.
I've just checked the original file in libreoffice 3.5.3 from opensuse repository. The table lines are not visible in printout and and in table properties the line arrangement is set to 'set no borders'.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34298#c13
I've just checked the original file in the Windows version of libreoffice 3.5.4 from the Libreoffice site The table lines are still not visible in printout and and in table properties the line arrangement is set to 'set no borders'.
LibreOffice 3.6.0.1 Finally! I can see table lines.
I have confirmed that the table borders now show up using LibreOffice 4.0. I am closing this as WORKSFORME. Another user has also confirmed the table border visibility.
