[This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1

An indent is fixed to a metric space (cm, inch) but not to a font size or is here maybe a misunderstanding?

Thanks for your feedback.

Now I understand you had enabled SHOW UI ELEMENTS FOR EAST ASIAN WRITINGS under TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> LANGUAGE SETTINGS -> LANGUAGES.
Because otherwise you will have under TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> LIBREOFFICE WRITER -> GENERAL in the SETTINGS part for MEASUREMENT UNIT only the following alternatives: Milimeter, Centimeter, Inch, Pica and Point, but no Char.
But with the East Asian elements I have now the chars.

And I can reproduce (LO 4.1.4.2, Win8) if I set the indent to 1,00 char (in BEFORE TEXT) under FORMAT -> PARAGRAPH -> tab INDENTS & SPACING with font size 12 and then change the font size to 20 the indent stays as before.
But because I have no knowledge about this char indent can anybody else reconfirm this issue?

Thus NEEDINFO.
