Created attachment 43696 [details] the attachement has 2 files (ods and pdf) showing the bug in cell B3 and D3 I use LibreOffice 3.3 in german. In write a cell the text "Isidor" (marked with the sinuous line by spellchecker) in the next cell I write "Stadt" (not marked). I set all allignment to centre/centre/90°. Now the word isidor is hidden! When I change the angel to 89°, 91°, 45° or 270° all is perfect. It seems to be a influence of the red sinous line. The language is set to Deutsch(Schweiz) / German(Switzerland)! I tested with other language too. This tests shows the same problem. kind regards Roland
Not reproduced with LO 3.3.1 RC2 Ubuntu 10.04 x86. Text displays normally both in ods and pdf.
But in my case red line in Calc not displays for wrong written russian, german and english words.
Now I installed LibreOffice 3.3.1 official release. The problem is still reproducible. I change the language of spellchecker in english, and french. Every time, when a red line marks the word it is hidden when the alignement is set to 90°. By loading the file the word is visible a short moment! Another effect: When I copy the clac table in a text-document (writer) the table is ok (without red-lines!)
Known issue, and this is a duplicate bug.
Try setting "automatic text wrap" option to see if that makes any difference.
I have change the alignement to "automatic text wrap". Now the hidden "Isidor" is visible. But the cells with other angle than 90°/0°/180°/270° the text is not centered (center/middle)! For me it isn't a problem, if there is an other bug-#, thank you.
I just can't find the other bug number at the moment. I'll just keep this for now; it's probably the same root cause as the other one.
