Description Thierry Vignaud 2011-03-04 02:47:08 UTC
ooimpress doesn't offer full screen view. Only Writer & Calc do.
This is annoying as it prevents me to use more of my screen surface for usefull stuff when looking at a presentation.
I can only choose between
- having desktop bar(s), window decoration, impress toolbars
- slideshow

In the later case, I cannot alter the presentation, just look at it.
In the former one, I lost quite a lot of usefull space. Eg: on GNOME with a 1440x900 LCD screen, I lost 39% of the horizontal size, and 36% of the vertical size, meaning loosing 62% of the total surface to both desktop, window decorations & impress menus, toolbars.

With a full screen view, I could use more space for the presentation itself, there would be only impress menu & toolbars around the presentation.

Using libreoffice-core-3.3.0.4-1.fc15.x86_64 on Fedora Core.

This would also make Impress useful for collaboratively editing slides while viewing via a beamer, so it is more than merely screen space saving. Would this be a candidate for an easy hack?
