Contrary to instructions, clicking on Help within LibreOffice Writer does not provide an "Update" option; and neither does the LibreOffice Productivity Suite. Help in Writer only lists: LibreOffice Help F1, What's This?, License Information..., LibreOffice Credits..., About LibreOffice.  No other update option could be found, beyond that of going to LibreOffice web site and downloading another copy, somewhat senseless and a careless oversight.

I think in this case it is the instructions that are wrong then.
