I can reproduce the effect with an own sample document "mytest2.ods" and "LibreOffice 3.3.2RC1 – WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [OOO330m19 (Build:201 / tag 3.3.2.1)]". After having saved document as EXCEL 97, all hyperlinks in buttons will be lost.

In control field I see hyperlinks are missing, and they are greyed out, no new hyperlink can be created.

May be that behavior is intended because EXCEL does not support buttons with hyperlinks? I can't tell

Save as .XLS (97), close and reopen, then you should see missing hyperlinks in Sheet3.

I have tested the provided file from comment #2 under MacOS 10.6.8 and Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64, both running v4.0.3.3 (Build ID: 0eaa50a932c8f2199a615e1eb30f7ac74279539). The problem as described in the attachment to the original description still exists. Basically, if the Insert > Hyperlink option is used to create a link with a Form of "Button" it will not survive being saved as XLS. Whether CTRL+click, SHIFT+click, CMD+click, or simply clicking on the button, the link remains inactive. Tests with newly created files (under v4.0.3.3) reveal identical behaviour.

confirmed reproducible on LO 3.6.6 (Ubuntu 12.04 32bit) & LO 4.0.3 (Win7 32bit)

save as .xlsx generates different behavior: buttons removed, links removed or exist

Comment 9 Henrique Meira 2015-02-02 17:08:28 UTC
I've got the same problem.
Solved using the =HIPERLINK() function.
More details how to use this function, see https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Spreadsheet_Functions#HYPERLINK

Dear q12w,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team
