In all Linux native applications, irrespective of Desktop Environment, one can scroll horizontally using mouse wheel on the horizontal scroll bar. But only exceptions are Openoffice, Mozilla.

I think this is a simple functionality and can be easily given to make Libreoffice feel like all other Unix applications.

All versions of openoffice / Libreoffice are affected by this bug. I guess unless this functionality is added as a feature ( which is unlikely), this bug should persist.

I cannot test this as I am running a production version and cannot afford to run test version. But the QA can easily test this in the latest version. He/she has to open any native Linux application and libreoffice and run mousewheel over the two and see the difference.

I had stopped filing bug-reports against Openoffice where nobody card for that. Hope Libreoffice will care to user feedback.

Marking as enhancement. While horizontal scrolling with mouse wheel is a typical Linux behavior, wouldn't it be nice to have it under Windows as well? I think so.

This may not be a big change. It would be nice if LO can work on such small but very useful enhancements on a higher priority.

I'm new to LibreOffice so maybe this is a knowledge issue.

I'm wanting the ability to use the mouse wheel to scroll horizontally when it is hovering over the horizontal scroll bar.  Is this possible or could it be added?
