The "English Wiki page on digital signatures" link from the Help Topic on digital signatures (geting/managing/applying subtopic) is outdated. 1. It is on the OpenOffice.org wiki, not the LibreOffice (TDC) wiki. 2. It is old information on StarOffice and OpenOffice. The information on locating certificates is incorrect, depending on the version of Windows being used (because the Control Panel configuration is changed in recent versions of the OS). 3. I can't speak to the information on Solaris/Linux, but it probably needs to be rewritten and made more current as well.
