Attached file does not open in Writer.
Opens fine in Word 2007.

I tested the "Testcase" file on my system and I can confirm the problem and I also can make the problem even more complicated.

1st: Reproducing the bug:
Opening the file with LO, I get the error message "Reading problem. The file is no WinWord 97 file". However, TextMaker 2008 and MS Word 2003 can open the file without any problems.

2nd: Making the problem even more complicated:
In MS Word 2003, I have opened the file and selected "Save As" and saved it as a separate .doc-file. The re-saved file opens in LibreOffice, but after a few seconds, LibreOffice crashes. You find the strace.log of the crash attached to this bug as well as my re-saved .doc-file. Again, TextMaker 2008 and MS Word 2003 can open this file without any problem.

Can you reproduce the crash?

System: Ubuntu 10.10/Gnome 2, LibreOffice 3.3.2 PPA, German UI, Intel 32-Bit.

opens for me with libreoffice3.4(beta4) please try that version, feel free to reopen the bug if it still fails for you ( hopefully it won't )

valgrind mentioned a uninitialized variable on loading attachment 1, fixed that with writer/ff6dcb8eaf47d056f179ebcdb289ae66e96b124b
