We need ways of making it easy to file bugs, particularly those with a correct platform, version, etc. information. We should have this information in the help/about dialog. It would be ideal if we could combine the vendor, platform, version, (java version) into a single string - and crunch this into a base64 blob that is not read-able (with a checksum) - such that people cannot easily get the paste wrong, and/or fake their version number. Far better even than this (I suspect) would be a "file a bug" link in help/about. Extending this we could really use a nice java-scripty web page with a flow for filing different types of bugs with all the required information to help people create really high quality bug reports.

Could someone help me build a list of information that should be collected when filing a bug? Do we need anything more than the following list? Automatically collected info (hidden from user): * LibreOffice version / build number * Architecture platform * Operating system version * Java version User entered info: * Bug description * Email (if they really wish to be notified of bug progress) We might even consider just calling this feature a 'feedback' feature, and simply collect whether it's a bug, positive feedback, or a feature suggestion, plus a short description of whatever the user is reporting. The feedback dialog of Firefox 4.x seems like a decent guide in this area.
