This occurs in 3.4.0 on mac but not 3.3.2 on linux.

In calc enter say 123 in cell A1, notice the font and size (Arial 10 on my system), press return.
Click on cell A1, 123 shows in the formula bar (entry field for formulae and numbers)
Copy 123 from the formula bar (don't copy the cell A1)
Paste into say cell A2. The font is reduced to 8pt or 7.5 pt.

Click on cell A2, 123 shows in the formula bar.
Copy 123 from the formula bar (don't copy the cell A2)
Paste into say cell A3. The font is reduced to 6pt or 5.5 pt.

Each subsequent copy and paste from the formula bar results in the font reducing further.

It seems the name of the font pasted is the same as the font that is in the cell that is in the formula bar.

One sheet I have had a font scaling sequence 10, 8, 6.5. Another sheet has the sequence 10, 7.5, 5.5
