Record Marker Off

This is a regression since OOo 3.2 I believe, may not have been a bug in LibreOffice 3.3 either. Basically, on a subform grid in a form on LibreOffice Base, in previous versions you could set the "Record marker" option (right click on control > Control > General, scroll down to "Record marker") to no and the record marker would disappear. Now you still get this fragment of a record marker. It was great before this fragment appeared because it also meant that you could print the form directly and it wouldn't look odd. Also, with the new bug, it puts the data column at an offset to the header for the column.

Record Marker Off: This shows the bug and I've circled it in red. Before the bug, this looked relatively similar to a normal table (like you'd see in LibreOffice Writer).
Record Marker On: This demonstrates what should happen when the option is set to "Yes", but notice that the bug causes duplication here also.
Table Control: This is the dialogue box that I described earlier.

Unfortunately, I do not have the old version of OOo/LibreOffice installed to take a screenshot of what it should be like

OS: Ubuntu 11.04
LibreOffice 3.4.0
OOO340m1 (Build:12)

This is not the repository version of LibreOffice, it is straight from libreoffice.org.

I upgraded from 3.3.4 to 3.4.3 and this appeared in 3.4.3. It was not there in 3.3.4

Cannot reproduce on master (3.5)

This looks like it could be related to bug #40701, and fixed by the same patch as the latter bug. If that's true, then it is fixed in 3.4.4. Needs testing.

potential (untested) patch

This patch (from http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice/2011-September/018092.html) is also of interest, and might also be the reason this bug does not appear on master branch (anymore). This patch was not applied to libreoffice-3-4 (yet).
Comment 7 Lionel Elie Mamane 2011-10-31 23:21:39 UTC
According to my testing, it is fixed in 3.4.4-rc1. Reopen this bug if you encounter the problem in 3.4.4-rc1 or later.

I originally reported this bug. I'm just confirming that this bug has now been fixed. I have verified this on our production systems now running LibreOffice 3.4.4-402. Thank you for the fix.
Comment 9 Lionel Elie Mamane 2011-11-22 08:36:21 UTC
OK, thanks for the confirmation. I'm putting this bug into "closed" state.
