The new version of Impress doesn't allow to have a slide pane with 2 or 3 slides per row anymore - is that supposed to be a feature? I observed this with both LibreOffice 3.4.0 and 3.4.1 on Linux Mint 10 and 11 - on 3.3.0 this still worked, which is very useful as a preview/overview when creating long slideshows.

The bug is changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases. Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1 more detail on this bulk operation: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/RFC-Operation-Spamzilla-tp3607474p3607474.html
Dear bug submitter! Due to the fact, that there are a lot of NEEDINFO bugs with no answer within the last six months, we close all of these bugs. To keep this message short, more infos are available @ https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/NeedinfoClosure#Statement Thanks for understanding and hopefully updating your bug, so that everything is prepared for developers to fix your problem. Yours! Florian
resembles RFE. reopening in 3.3.4 indeed slide pane allows placing slides in several columns. In 3.6.1 not allows. I am not sure that using slide pane as slide sorter is good idea, but who know. Possible workaround: placing slides pane on bottom of screen. There will be more room for slides because width of screen is more than hight.
Thanks for reporting! I mark this as a valid enhancement request. Therefore: NEW. Also I set priority a bit lower, because there is 'kind of a workaround' but doesn't provide full coverage of this request.
