I tried reordering some sheets in an .ods file but everytime I do I can't save my work because LibreOffice will crash. I googled the issue and apparently I am not the only one having this kind of issue: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-865091-postdays-0-postorder-asc-start-75.html?sid=b13fc834bd8c2734fc4660548653713a I tried both drag and drop and using the Move/Copy command (move in my case) from context menu but the result remains the same. I hope this can be fixed swiftly. Keep up the good work!
I do not reproduce the problem with LibreOffice 3.4.1 on Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64.
Failed to reproduce with LibreOffice 3.4 340m1(Build:12) on OpenSuse KDE. Can you be more specific about the problem? Detail the steps or provide an attached spreadsheet in which it caused your LO to crash? Furthermore, try finding a backtrace of the problem using GDB. That would be greatly helpful as well. Read "How to get backtrace" on http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport Thanks!
Sorry for the delay. Anyway, this is how I did it: 1. Create database in Base 2. Fill a table with data 3. Create queries for extracting specific data 4. Create spreadsheet file 5. Hit F4, open database source, select "Copy" in context menu of a query 6. Select row in spreadsheet and hit Ctrl + V to insert 7. Format the cells inserted (I preferred Arial + 10pt) 8. Create charts and format them a bit 9. Create new sheet and rename it I then repeated 5 to 9 and created 10 sheets in total. Whenever I try moving either of the last four sheets after the first sheet (which is what I want) and save afterwards it crashes. About the file, I would send it to you via Email but I would prefer not to post it on the internet as it contains data from a project I am working on. Could whoever wants to debug this probably just send me an Email and I reply with the file? Also, I would rather not share the database file with you as it contains even more specific information, I hope that is okay for you. Ah, one last thing, maybe this is important. I am on Windows 7 x64 English with German local settings. LibO is also installed in English. Thanks for your help.
can you try if you can reproduce this if you create some sheets yourself and reorder them then do your sheets contain only data or filters or something else too? This would be the idea I have at the moment but without a test document there is nothing to do
Like I said, I created the sheet myself, copied the data from the db (queries) and added some charts. The file is only some 254 kB, so I reckon the problem is not the amount of data to be saved. I tried creating another spreadsheet, just filling some cells here and there, creating and moving sheets, no issue there. I only noticed it with this one file but then, I don't work a lot with Calc. I am not a hundred percent on this but I might have used LibO 3.3.2 when I originally created the file. Anyway, I am not really certain about this and actually do doubt it. Either way, I saved the file a number of times with 3.4.1 now so... Like I said, I can send the file to you privately, just give me a hint whom I should send the file. Regards, Johannes
I'll take it. Might be related to the chart object but will have to investigate it.
Fixed in 3.5 by Kohei's drawinglayer reowrk. 3.4 Will not see any more release so closing this bug
