Created attachment 49340 [details] Copy problem of First Page style Create a document and be one of pages First Page style - Format/Styles and Formatting/Page Styles/ double click on First Page) Copy some letters from the first paragraph of First Page to the other paragraph. This will be created on the second page. It creates page break. The rest of paragraph works well. The AutoText created First Page causes same problem. See the video
I see the effect with "LibreOffice 3.4.1 - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [OOO340m1 (Build:103)]" . Same behavior with OOo 3.1.1. May be that's the intended behavior? I don't know. @Ildiko Molnar: Please contribute information concerning your OS and LibO version!
I tested it Hungarian Win XP 32-bit, LibreOffice 3.4.1 OOO340m1 (Build:103.) Same behavior with OOO 3.2.1
I can reproduce it on Hun Win7 too.
How to avoid this effect (for the first paragraph of the first page): Format > Paragraph > Text Flow > Breaks [ ] Insert [disabled] That's always enabled for the first paragraph of the first page; please don't ask me why ;) I think it's the intended behavior (the same with OOo).
maybe Cedric knows if this is needed ..?
suspect the problem could be that paragraph attributes (including the page break) are copied to the target paragraph; they should be copied when the whole paragraph is copied but not if less than the whole paragraph is selected.

Issue reproduced in English Win 8.1 x64, LibO 5.0.1 I don't know why the first paragraph has a page break before it, as i
Hello, I'm Janos from the company of Ildiko Molnar, who originally reported the bug: Issue reproducible under Win 8.1 English + LibO 5.0.1 Observations: - Every time I copy+paste the very first paragraph of the first page with 'first page' style, the copy will produce a new page with 'First Page' style. - If I go to a page with Default page style and make it First page style, then write a paragraph into it, there won't be any page break produced. Thus, I don't see any advantage of having a page break in the fist paragraph of a document. It must be a workaround for something). However, the whole issue seems minor and the workaround in Comment #4 is ok. Please consider fixing this by removing the page break or close the bug with won' fix.
Thanks for your comment Ildiko. Let's keep this open. And glad that the work around helps for you. Cor

Tested in the following environment: Win 8.1 x86-64 Version: 5.2.1.2 Build ID: 31dd62db80d4e60af04904455ec9c9219178d620 Observations are as follows: 1. When setting page style of the first page, the first paragraph gets a page break set. It is set even if the same page style is applied again to the same page. It is set for any page style, not just First Page. It is set only on the very first paragraph of the document (tested with setting page style on page 2 with text flown there, no paragraph change was experienced). 2. When copying the whole paragraph, page break is inserted. 3. When copying some letters from the first paragraph, pasting doesn't insert page breaks any more. Observation 1 happens for unknown reason. If there is an issue, the issue is this. Observation 2 is working as designed. Observation 3 shows that the original report is resolved. I suggest to close the bug as fixed and either report Observation 1 as a new bug or document it to make it working as designed.
(In reply to János Néhrer from comment #13) > I suggest to close the bug as fixed and either report Observation 1 as a new > bug or document it to make it working as designed. OK. You can continue with observation 1 as we (the QA team) is completely swamped with work. Search for a possible existing report etc.
