Writer Document, 6 Pages, 35 footnotes

Opening att. document ok.
Closing document causes LO 3.4.2 RC1 to crash.

LO 3.3.3 an earlier version don't crash when closing the same doc.

When all footnotes are removed and document is closed LO 3.4.2 RC1 does't crash.

Confirmed with [Win2K LibreOffice 3.4.2 OOO340m1 (Build:201)].
Comment 2 manj_k 2011-07-21 15:07:46 UTC
Reproducible
with LibO 3.4.2 RC2
[LibreOffice 3.4.2 OOO340m1 (Build:202)]

That is same problem as incorrectly reported in bug 38052
("Two footnotes in a single paragraph passing to the next page -
starts the recovery process"), see:
- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38052#c6
- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38052#c9

I have marked bug 38052 as RESOLVED WORKSFORME due to the different originally reported problem which has been fixed.

@Hans Immel:
I have attached a modified version of your 'HWI.odt'.

The changes in 'HWI_modified.odt':
I have set a manual page break before all paragraphs where the footnotes of a single paragraph reach over two pages.
Writer doesn't crash anymore when closing this document.

Cédric, one for you?
Comment 5 Jean-Baptiste Faure 2011-07-23 08:54:42 UTC
On Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 :
- No crash with master;
- Crash reproduced with LibO 3.4.2 rc2
Changed platform and OS accordingly (All to both).

Best regards. JBF

This one looks similar to "Bug 39510 - writer-file causes crash since version 3.4.2 rc1 and rc2"

from all I can see it's the same problem as in bug 39510.

As we already have a more detailed analysis there, I'm closing this one as dup.

Since all new unconfirmed bugs start in state UNCONFIRMED now and old unconfirmed bugs were moved to NEEDINFO with a explanatory comment, all bugs promoted above those bug states to NEW and later are automatically confirmed making the CONFIRMED whiteboard status redundant. Thus it will be removed.
