Description Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2011-08-11 02:48:57 UTC
The process how to upload an Extension is not difficult to understand, but there can (must?) be contributed lots of data. It's annoying if you start the process and then you have to learn that you are bad prepared and have to collect additional data.

So a Help area / Document that shows all the steps and required preparation would be useful.

Or did I simply not see the Help I need?

Hi :)
One thread about this had already just started about this in the Documentation Teams list. A weird coincidence :)

There are some guides listed here
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Documentation#Other_Documentation_and_Resources
but they might not be exactly what is required.

The documentation team has previously discussed writing a guide to introduce people to programming for LibreOffice and if any more devs could join the docs team to help with that it would be fantastic. There are a couple of devs there already so it won't be lonely but they tend to be desperately busy and would appreciate any help.
Regards from
Tom :)

I uploaded two documents to Wiki for revision at:

 http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Extensions_Repository

 * Installing extensions ODT - PDF
 * Publishing extensions ODT - PDF

So we now only need to transfer the PDF and a link in the "Help-Downloads".

We should think about possibilities to get Help more flexible

@Gustavo:
Thank you for contributing Help documents.

@Andreas:

I've added myself to the CC list and will track discussion on the documentation team ML to see where to fit the available documentation into the English documentation repository.
